Each spring, I eagerly anticipate the blossoming cherry trees, a cherished ritual of mine. Yet this year, my excitement got ahead of me, and I arrived at the park a week too soon.
The weeping cherry trees surrounding the pond at Kariya Park were still in bud stage, yet to bloom. However, the classic white cherry trees were already in full bloom, offering a delightful sight. As we savored the blossoms, my son rolled down the grassy hills and playfully chased geese into the pond.
That evening, the good people of Mississauga were out in force, showing off their finest picnic gear and posing for photos like they were on a red carpet. My little one was eager to join in on the picnic action, probably eyeing up the spread of goodies! It was a cute sight to see everyone getting dolled up for a picnic in the park.
I’m sharing a few photographs from that evening of the weeping cherry trees. Enjoy! 🌸
